Michaela is one of Australia’s leading snowboarders, competing in slopestyle, and more recently, big mountain freeride competitions. Michaela loves exploring remote mountain communities and is turning her attention to making adventure films that show the beauty of the mountains and explore other cultures.
Michaela is the second ever Australian snowboarder to qualify for the Freeride World Tour and the first Aussie to win a gold medal on the tour in any category. She is ranked number 2 in the world. There are only 6 female snowboarders on the FWT – extraordinary women chasing the world champion title. Michaela has qualified for the FWT21.
In 2017 Michaela was one of three riders featured in Persian Powder, a snowboard and cultural film set in Iran. That film has been touring Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA and was voted best film on the Women’s Adventure Film Tour.
Michaela makes lots of snowboarding and surfing mini edits and is very keen to make more high-quality films and produce content for brands aligned with adventure, mountains and travel.

Primarily motivated by fun, Michaela loves being out in nature, having the ability to do what she loves, and, of course – winning!
Michaela admits that she feels fear nearly nearly every time she straps on her snowboard but “that’s what it all about…it’s all about the adrenaline and making the heart skip a few beats. It’s what I live for!”
